This 5-day course is one of three Windows Server certifications which will teach the required fundamental learnings and techniques to implement a core Windows Server 2012 infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment. This course is Part 1 of the 3 parts of the course and primarily focuses on how to configure and implement core services during the initial stage, such as Storage, Networking, Group Policy, Hyper-V, File & Print Services and Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). However, there will be some cross skills and tasks across all these 3 courses as they cover managing, implementing, provisioning & maintaining services and infrastructure in a Windows Server 2012 environment on a combined level. This course is majorly chosen for hands-on practice & preparations for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Exam 410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012. This is the very first examinations of three examinations which are required for MCSA: Windows Server 2012 credential.

This course introduces the delegate to installing and configuring Windows Server 2012, including Windows Server 2012 R2. This course is part one in a series of three courses that provides the skills and knowledge necessary to implement a core Windows Server 2012 infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment.This course maps directly to and is the preferred choice for hands-on preparation for the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate.
Module 1: Windows Server 2012 deployment and management:
This will be an introduction of the new Windows Server 2012 administrative interface, which also comprises of Windows Server 2012 operating system's new features & role. The module will also describe diversified Windows Server 2012 installing options and configuration steps which are implemented while installing and deploying. Additionally it will cover performing common administrative tasks in Windows Server 2012 using Windows PowerShell. Below mentioned topics will be covered in the 1 st Module:
Module 2: Active Directory Domain Services
This module contains topics such as Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) structure and its distinct elements such as domain, forest, and organizational units (OUs). It also covers an introduction of Domain Controller and the options which are present with Windows Server 2012 for AD DS installation on a server. Module 3: Active Directory Domain Services Objects management
This module includes managing user and computer accounts, managing different consumer devices that are used by the employees. Module 5: IPv4 & IPv6 Implementation and co-relation:
This module defines the implementation of an IPv4 addressing scheme, including the use of an IPv4 which is the network protocol used in the local area Networks & Internet to network communication troubleshooting. It also defines to conclude and troubleshoot network-related issues. This also includes the features and advantages of IPv6, effects of IPv6 on IPv4 networks, integrating IPv6 into IPv4 networks with the usage of different transition technologies. Module 6: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Implementation:

Module 7: DNS Implementation:

The module covers an introduction of various storage technologies which include managing volumes & disks. This also includes the implementation of storage solutions in Windows Server 2012 and using storage spaces. Module 9: File and Print Services implementation:
The module covers enabling and configuring File and Print Services in Windows Server 2012, usage of shadow copies and securing files and folders on Windows Server 2012. This includes identifying security threats, securing a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure by configuring Windows Firewall with Advanced Security and how to restrict unauthorized software. Module 12: Server Virtualization implementation with Hyper-V:
The module defines virtualization technologies available on Windows, especially aiming on server Virtualization with Hyper-V.
